  • Melania Trump is, reportedly, 'down to earth' and 'friendly'

Melania Trump continues to hit headlines despite her efforts in keeping her personal life as private as possible. The First Lady of the United States has become a favorite subject of mockery and hate since she assumed the role of Michelle Obama, approximately, three years ago. Besides her fashion choices, advocacies, and some minor grammatical blunders, most of her critics make fun of her “resting b***h face.”

Followers and faultfinders are aware that Melania is not fond of smiling, perhaps, even in some of the funniest moments of her life. Since she often displays a blank face, some people think that the FLOTUS is someone who is petulant and hard to please. Luckily, CNN reporter Kate Bennett was able to crack the code and found out why Melania rarely smiles.

The “Free, Melania: The Unauthorized Biography” author shared she had a chance meeting the First Lady’s childhood friends, including some people who knew her when she was still trying to make a name for herself in the modeling industry. After traveling to Mark-a-Lago and New York City, Kate learned that maintaining a poker face is just normal in Slovenia.

“Ask a Slovenian if ‘resting bitch face’ is a thing in their country, and they will look blankly at you and say, ‘it’s just ‘face,’” the journalist wrote, per Washingtonian. Close pals of Melania Trump said her straight face is, actually, a result of her Slovenian upbringing.

In the same book, Kate Bennett revealed that Melania is friendly and down to earth despite the usual perception that she is stiff and cold. Also, White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham revealed to the author that Barron Trump’s mom is fond of using text emojis to convey what she feels. She added that Melania, commonly, just laugh off all the conspiracy theories and speculative reports about her.

Kate furthered that Melania Trump is way more powerful and influential with President Donald Trump than what the public might think. In fact, the FLOTUS demonstrated her supremacy when she called for the dismissal of Mira Ricardel in 2017. The mom of one just released a statement when the POTUS failed to act on her request immediately.

"It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that (Mira Ricardel) no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House," the statement read, per CNN. The former Deputy National Security Advisor stepped down from her post a day after. “Not only did Melania have power and influence with the president, she perhaps had more of both than anyone else in the entire White House,” Kate Bennett wrote in one part of the book.

Though the book offered a lot of eye-opening and interesting details about the life of the FLOTUS at the White House, Stephanie Grisham was quick to dismiss the “Free, Melania: The Unauthorized Biography” and claimed that it contains numerous incorrect information.

“Mrs. Trump is surprised at Kate Bennett’s reporting. Our office worked with Kate in good faith in her book and thought she would do an honest job. Sadly, it includes many false details and opinions, showing Ms. Bennett spoke to many anonymous people who don’t know the First Lady,” Stephanie said in the statement released to People. “It continues to be disappointing when people, especially journalists, write books with false information just to profit off the First Family,” Melania Trump’s spokesperson went on.
