  • President Donald Trump lashed out at the media for claiming that his wife was dying

Melania Trump became visibly absent from her role as the first lady of the United States in 2018 when she underwent a kidney procedure.

Despite the White House’s updates, rumors swirled that the FLOTUS didn’t actually undergo kidney surgery. Rather, critics became convinced that she had plastic surgery.

The speculations heightened after Melania made a public appearance over a month later, and it seemed as though her breasts became much bigger. Until today, the first lady is standing by her previous statement about plastic surgery.

“A lot of people say I am using all the procedures for my face. I didn’t do anything. I live a healthy life, I take care of my skin and my body,” the FLOTUS told GQ.

But before Melania made a public appearance post-surgery, her husband, the POTUS first lashed out at the media. The president accused various publications of releasing fake news about his wife and the “great first lady.”

“The Fake News Media has been so unfair and vicious to my wife and our great First Lady, Melania. During her recovery from surgery, they reported everything from near death, to facelift, to left the White House (and me) for N.Y. or Virginia, to abuse. All Fake, she is doing really well,” the POTUS tweeted.

In a follow-up post, Trump also said that four reporters saw Melania at the White House a week earlier but they purposely didn’t write about the sighting.

“They never reported the sighting because it would hurt the sick narrative that she was living in a different part of the world, was really ill, or whatever. Fake News is really bad!” Trump wrote.

Meanwhile, some people are still convinced that Melania didn’t really undergo a kidney procedure two years ago. On Twitter, the FLOTUS is still being mocked for it.

“Nice kidney operation there,” Twitter use @SocialSpit said.

“She needs to keep her kidneys dry,” Twitter user @lariemw said.

“That’s a high price to pay for new kidneys,” Twitter user @KimmieLarson2 said.
