Ed Sheeran and Elton John gave fans a sneak peek of their new music, titled "Merry Christmas," just in time for the holidays.

The pair shared two teasers Monday for the song, which will release on Friday. The English singer-songwriter said the profit it receives in the U.K. during the holidays will go to the Ed Sheeran Suffolk Music foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Sheeran took to his Instagram page and did a "Love Actually" impression, drawing from the iconic scene where Andrew Lincoln's character, Mark, silently professed his love to Keira Knightley's Juliet with a series of romantic cue cards on Christmas Eve.

In the clip, Sheeran unraveled the cue cards that said, "Hello. Last Christmas, I received a call from my mate, Elton John and he told me we should do a Christmas song. I replied, Yeah, maybe in 2022 but I actually wrote the chorus that day. And here we are, our Christmas song, 'Merry Christmas.' This is out Friday. Go pre-order or pre-save now. It has sleigh bells. A lot of them."

John also took to Instagram to share a quick preview of the new track.

In the clip, Sheeran and John change into various holiday outfits as the track plays "Filled up with so much love/ All our family and friends are together where we all belong/ Merry Christmas, everyone."

"This was an absolute blast! Our music video for 'Merry Christmas' is coming this Friday," John captioned his post.

Sheeran earlier revealed that John pitched him the idea of recording a Christmas duet. He said they were able to write three Christmas songs together although he was lukewarm to the idea in the beginning.

"I've always been quite against it. Not that I don’t like Christmas, I love Christmas, but in terms of doing a Christmas song, you need to chuck the kitchen sink at it," the "Shivers" artist said when he appeared on the "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" earlier this month.

While this is their first Christmas team-up, John already has a holiday hit under his name – "Step Into Christmas," which topped Billboard Christmas Singles Chart in 1973. It was also in the top 10 on the official U.K. singles chart the same year.
