Mexican TV actor Alejandro Sandi has been safely rescued after getting abducted in the city of Mexico last Sunday.

According to E! News, the “Lord of the Skies” star and a French national were abducted near a popular tourist spot in Mexico City. Two actresses, Esmeralda Ugalde and Vanessa Aria, were present there with the actor when the incident happened. The kidnapping happened around 8 in the morning.

Both the actresses shared a video on Instagram and asked everyone to support them in such tragic times. In the video, they also revealed that they had filed an FIR about the incident.

Revealing more about what happened at that exact moment, Esmeralda noted that they were all hanging out like any other tourist at Nevado de Toluca, which is a popular mountain peak of the region. The actress further stated that as soon as they started their car to head back, some armed robbers blocked their way and took their truck.

Esmeralda noted that she was driving the car with Sandi and the other actress when kidnappers told both the actresses to come out of the car. As soon as the actresses got out, the armed men abducted Sandi and took the vehicle.

She also explained how unsafe they felt in the city and were praying for their friend’s safety. They reported the incident to the Police immediately, after which a search operation was carried out. Immediately after the rescue, a press release was issued by the authorities which stated that research and intelligence work was carried out for the location of the victims.

The authorities were also in touch with Frech Embassy since a French citizen was also abducted and safely recovered during the search operation.

The news comes after “Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis narrowly escaped an attempted kidnapping by a group of armed robbers who stormed into a vacation home in Mexico last month.

A source told TMZ that the robbers tied the 46-year-old entertainment mogul before stealing all the cash with him at the time. The gunmen reportedly got into a scuffle with neighborhood security before they fled the area.

One of the four gunmen was apprehended by the police.
