Michael Jordan once called an average NBA player a "bitch" after being dominated during a Bulls game in 1995-96 season.

Whenever Jordan wants to return to NBA, he likes to prep up by playing pick-up games. In fact, NBA veteran Jamal Crawford recently said that MJ liked his game and that was the reason why the GOAT called him up to regularly play pick-up games as he prepares for a second comeback in 2001.

This was the same exact thing that happened back in 1995. Jordan was getting ready to return to the league. Part of his regimen was organizing countless pick-up games with NBA All-Stars, however, All-Star caliber players weren’t available all the time.

Jordan was at California at the time and what he did was to call up Magic Johnson and asked him to contact some well-rounded players. Magic then reached out to a then Grizzlies player Darrick Martin, and a couple of other UCLA guys to come and play with Jordan.

During one of the pick-up games, Martin did the unthinkable and trash-talked the NBA icon after hitting a game-winning lay-up, BTM Basketball Time Machine reported.

“I come down on a break, on the wing, and go with a hands up move, like I’m going to shoot, Michael Jumps up, I go by and lay up to win the game. I commence to talk the best trash ever against him. Michael, you get out of my town; you are not even the real MJ. My man Magic is the real MJ,” Martin said.

When the NBA season arrived, Jordan and the Chicago Bulls finally played against the Martin and the Vancouver Grizzlies. The Bulls were on a 13-day road trip and quite exhausted. Nothing was working for Chicago during the game, and the Grizzlies were having a great night.

MJ had scored only 10 points in the first three quarters, and the Bulls were losing by double digits. Bulls then Head Coach Phil Jackson decided to take Jordan out because having the best player on the floor didn’t make sense anymore. MJ sat on the bench, took off his sneakers and called it a game.

A few moments later, Martin scored, got fouled, and made the and one, after which he walked by the Bulls bench and told Michael, “Told you we’re gonna whoop you’re a-- tonight.”

All fired up, Jordan put his sneakers back on and subbed into the game. What happened next was something Martin will never forget. Jordan took the game over and manhandled the entire Grizzlies’ defense by scoring 19 points in the fourth quarter to secure the win. After the game, he went up to Martin and said: “Shut up, you little b----!”
