Disney World (DIS) is finally bringing back one of its most popular holiday events for the first time since the pandemic shut it down – Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

The highly anticipated after-hours event was shuttered in 2020 and held as a skimmed-down event in 2021 due to the pandemic, but now will go back to its traditional format for the 2022 holiday season. A special ticket is required to attend the event and space is limited.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for this year will be held on 24 nights through November and December at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Dates of the event are Nov. 8,10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 27, and 29, as well as Dec. 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13,15, 16, 18, 20, and 22.

Admission is not included with regular theme park passes as the special event takes place from 7 p.m. to midnight ET. Ticket-holders will be admitted to Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. ET on valid dates of their tickets, Disney said on its website.

Tickets for the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party range in price from $139 to $199, depending on age and the date of attendance. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket to the party on select nights.

Events planned for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party include Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show. There also will be Disney Junior characters making appearances in the Disney Junior Jingle Jam.

Attractions will be running as attendees of the party will be able to take part in Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, and Mad Tea Party, to name a few, without a long wait due to the limited capacity of the event.

Disney World promises a "holiday makeover" to these attractions just for attendees of the party. In addition, guests will be treated to free cookies and hot cocoa throughout the park and a holiday-themed 50th-anniversary commemorative keepsake for attending the event, Disney said.

For those unable to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, other holiday events taking place at Disney World include the Jingle Cruise at Magic Kingdom, a Candlelight Processional, the International Festival of the Holidays with Holiday Cookie Stroll at Epcot, a “Frozen” Sing-Along Celebration, and Santa Claus' Merry Motorcade at Hollywood Studios.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will hold a Merry Menagerie puppet show featuring an array of Disney characters by Discovery River, and Disney Springs will feature a Christmas Tree Stroll, snowfall in Town Center, and Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar for patrons.

As of Tuesday premarket hours, shares of Disney were trading at $105.74, up $1.03, or 0.98%.
