The highly-anticipated arrival of the Microsoft Surface Duo could be a few days from now. The forthcoming dual-screen device from the Redmond-based tech giant has reportedly entered production. The Surface Duo could reach customers as early as August 24, according to a reliable insider.

Microsoft Surface Duo Release Date

Window’s Central Zac Bowden recently shared on the social microblogging site Twitter the release date of Microsoft Surface Duo. News about the Surface Duo launching in the week of August 24 came after the rumored device made an appearance in videos directly coming from Microsoft. Several images of the device also surfaced lately courtesy of Microsoft employees.

On top of that, several sites spotted regulatory certification filings for the dual-screen device from Microsoft. According to the latest information, the Microsoft Surface Duo is arriving ahead of schedule, which was initially set for holiday 2020 launch. Granting that the upcoming device has already entered production, it only means that its arrival is less than a month away.

The industry has yet to see the pre-order pages going live. While Microsoft has not yet confirmed the latest leak, it seemingly aligns with earlier rumors that the Surface Duo would arrive in the Fall of 2020. Interestingly, despite the device's imminent release, it seems that the industry has little knowledge about it.

Rumors have it that the Microsoft Surface Duo would house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. It would allegedly feature AMOLED panels with 1800 x 1350 resolution on each panel. The dual-screen device would reportedly pack a 3460 mAh battery.

In terms of camera, the Microsoft Surface Duo is rumored to sport an 11-megapixel front camera with 2.0 aperture and flash. Whispers online claimed that the device has no rear camera. Other claims about the Microsoft surface Duo includes internal storage options of 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB with 6GB RAM.
