Other Details

Unfortunately, Spencer was careful with his words during the interview and did not slip any detail that could lead fans and industry watchers to conclude on something. Despite the rumors and leaks surrounding the more affordable Xbox Series S, Microsoft is silent about its existence. A recent slip up committed by 343 Industries Head Chris Lee further triggered speculations about the other next-gen console from Microsoft arriving this year.

In a recent Q&A session, Chris Lee was asked about the performance of “Halo Infinite” on Xbox One and Xbox Series X. The executive responded that the upcoming first-shooter title is designed to perform well on all Scarlett devices. Although lee did not directly mention the Xbox Series S, his answer led many to believe that there is another console aside from the Xbox Series X.

For the uninitiated, Scarlett or Project Scarlett is Microsoft code name for the Xbox Series X. Just like Microsoft, Sony’s fans are also waiting for the announcement of the specific release date and price of the PS5. Whispers online have it that Sony might make the much-awaited announcement in August at the next PlayStation State of Play.
