Microsoft’s dual-display device is shaping up to be one of the most promising devices arriving this year. While consumers might have to wait until the holiday season for its official release, it could replace the phone, tablet, or even laptop if it perfectly works. Recently, a new leak about one of the exciting features of Microsoft Surface Duo surfaced online before the company was able to stop it.

Latest Microsoft Surface Duo Leak

The most recent leak about the Microsoft Surface Duo surfaced on Twitter in the form of video courtesy of WalkingCat. The leak reveals a system where users get various UI based on how far the dual-screen device is pulled open. If the user pulls the display a little bit, only a small number of buttons and actionable info are revealed.

However, if the user pulls the display all the way, the ready for tapping full UI shows. This functionality is called Peek, according to the leaked video. This feature is a convenient way for users to check and interact with notifications without the need to open the Microsoft surface Duo.

It could be a minor thing to some. However, unlike foldable smartphones, the Microsoft Surface Duo does not have an external display. It could mean a valuable feature that users could use several times a day.

Microsoft Surface Duo Video

In addition to the Peek feature, the other video reveals how the user could easily swing the other screen to the back to make it easier to hold the device with only one hand. The Microsoft Surface Duo comes with a couple of individual 5.6-inch screens linked by a hinge that, when used together, could turn into an 8.3-inch tablet or can even function independently.

So far, Microsoft has not yet revealed when it plans to release the Surface Duo in the market officially. The Redmond-based tech company was earlier rumored to host a major Surface event in the Spring of this year. The event is allegedly for the Microsoft Surface Book 2 and Microsoft Surface Go 2.

It is worth noting that these leaked videos revealing an impressive Microsoft Surface Duo feature are not official.
