Mike Tindall is getting candid about the ups and downs of his marriage to Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughter Zara Tindall.

During an appearance on the British show "Loose Women," which was renamed "Loose Men" in honor of International Men’s Day Friday, the 43-year-old former rugby player revealed that he is willing to renew his wedding vows with the 40-year-old Olympian after 10 years of marriage.

Mike explained that this was partly because of everything he and Zara have experienced since they tied the knot in July 2011 — including the arrival of their children Mia, 7, Lena, 3, and Lucas, 7 months.

"A marriage or long-term relationship can’t always be roses and rainbows," Mike was quoted by Us Weekly as saying.

"When you have children, that is a massive shock, change to your system that you’ve never experienced and there is going to be those rocky roads," he continued. "There are things that are thrown at you that have to test both of you and that will test that relationship. The thing is no one is right, no one is wrong. You have to work through it together."

Despite this, Mike admitted that his wife tends to "stay angry" if they fight, while his experience as an England rugby player has taught him to move on and say, "Shall we have a hug?" once the dust has settled.

The former Gloucester Rugby athlete joined the British daytime TV show to discuss common mental health struggles, following in the footsteps of fellow royal mental health advocates Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry.

Prior to his appearance on the show, he promoted the "Loose Men" episode on Instagram, sharing why he was excited to be part of it. According to Mike, he wanted to be on the show to talk about some important issues and misconceptions men are facing, including the need to open up to someone when one is struggling.

"Being a rugby player I think everyone assumes we just crack on but that doesn’t always work and all of us need to talk about things. This is a great chance to do that," he wrote in the caption.

Mike and Zara first met in 2003 and got engaged seven years later. After their romantic nuptials in Scotland in 2011, the daughter of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips welcomed her first child with Mike nearly three years later.

During his recent appearance, Mike also spoke about the special bond he's created with his children at the family home he shares with Zara on Princess Anne's Gatcombe Park Estate in rural Gloucestershire, England.

"I was really keen on having a boy, but then Mia came along," he said of his eldest child. "By the time Lena came, I wasn't bothered if I had another girl because I'd had this little bundle of joy in Mia. It was happy days."

Recalling the arrival of his third child, Mike said his son Lucas' birth was "very fast." Lucas was delivered on the floor of the couple's bathroom on March 21 after Zara's water broke.

"She (Zara) was lying on her side saying, 'it's never going to work' then it went and within 20 minutes the baby had come and I was sat on my sofa watching rugby with my little boy," joked Mike, adding, "I'm no longer surrounded by just women in my house!"
