Mike Tyson has once admitted that a UFC legend will definitely beat him in an MMA fight.

Ever since Tyson ended his boxing career, talks of “Iron Mike” entering MMA has always been a hot topic. And while the legendary boxer has never stepped inside the octagon, speculations of whether Tyson would be a tremendous MMA fighter or not is still a debate.

However, before Tyson even had himself highlighted in UFC video games, “The Baddest Man on the Planet” has already stated in the past that UFC legend Royce Gracie will surely beat him in an MMA fight.

In 2013, “UFC Tonight” host Chael Sonnen had the privilege to ask Tyson “how he would have done in a fight against former UFC champion Gracie. Tyson’s response was quick and straight-forward as he said there was “no way” he would have earned a victory against a seasoned grappler, Sherdog reported.

"Well, in '93, I was in prison, so there wouldn’t have been a fight, but there is no way I would have won,” Tyson said.

“I had no idea what was going on with that type of fighting and would’ve been taken by surprise,” Tyson continued.

Just recently, former UFC light heavyweight champ Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell made a bold statement about the outcome of a street fight with Tyson. According to Liddell, he would have beaten Tyson had they faced each other in brawl.

“In a street fight, I’d win. I mean, he’s got a puncher’s chance. He’s got a chance to catch me coming in. But other than that, it’s over,” Liddell predicted.

Both MMA and boxing fans were fired up by Liddell’s statement urging him to make a clarification about his prediction. In Liddell’s follow up statement, the UFC legend said that the logical way for him to beat Tyson is by taking the fight to the ground.

“He won’t get three minutes I’d shoot right away. He had no ground training or takedown defense training at all. So he’d have to catch me on the way in or he’d never get off the ground period!” Liddell wrote.

Prior to Liddell’s prediction about the bizarre fight, Tyson himself may have proven that Liddell could really beat him. Last September, Tyson admitted that he would be an awful UFC fighter simply because he has the “worst feet” in the world. All told, the statements from both legendary fighters suggest that Liddell could really score a win against Tyson when the fight goes to the ground.
