Mike Tyson is returning to the ring, igniting speculation about his opponent. The legendary heavyweight hasn’t said who he’s fighting, but there’s reason to believe he could be set to face Evander Holyfield.

On the latest episode of “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson,” the 54-year announced that his next exhibition fight is set for the end of May in Miami. In November, Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. fought to a draw in an eight-round exhibition bout.

Tyson’s announcement comes two weeks after Holyfield called out his rival for dragging his feet in completing their trilogy. In January, Holyfield told The Sun that his representatives were speaking with Tyson’s management team about making a fight.

“Getting back in my rhythm just waiting on my dance partner now @miketyson to show up. Where you at?” Holyfield said on Instagram, accompanied with a video of the 58-year-old training.

Holyfield defeated Tyson by technical knockout in 1996. In their rematch in 1997, Tyson was infamously disqualified for biting off a piece of Holyfield’s ear.

At the time, Tyson-Holyfield 2 set a record with 1.99 million pay-per-view buys. Only a handful of fights have ever eclipsed two million PPV buys.

The exhibition between Tyson and Jones generated more than 1.6 million buys. The fight cost nearly $50 to purchase.

Before facing Jones, Tyson hadn’t fought in 14 years. Holyfield’s last fight came in 2011.

Tyson indicated that his next fight will take place May 29 at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.

Another potential opponent for Tyson is Lennox Lewis. The 55-year-old Brit recently stated he would seriously consider fighting Tyson if there was heavy demand for the bout.

"If the public wanted it then we would probably talk," Lewis told TMZ Sports.

The two heavyweight legends fought in 2002, with Lewis knocking out Tyson in the eighth round. Lewis, who had a 42-2-1 record, has not fought since 2003, when he defeated Vitali Klitschko to retain the WBC, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight titles.
