  • She also mocked the celebrities who have contributed to the "bathing" discourse

Mila Kunis got annoyed while defending her previous comments about her family’s bathing habits during her guesting on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” this week.

Over the summer, Kunis came under fire after she revealed that she and her husband Ashton Kutcher don’t bathe their children daily.

The 38-year-old actress told Dax Shephard during their podcast conversation with the host last summer that washing their children Wyatt, 6, and Dmitri, 4, wasn’t a daily occurrence. Ashton also revealed they don’t bathe them until they could “see dirt on them.”

During her appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which airs Tuesday, the host told Kunis that “a lot of people are talking” about the bathing remarks she and Kutcher had made last summer and a seemingly annoyed Kunis groaned and said, “It’s so dumb.”

She then immediately followed up with, “We bathe our dogs. Does that make people happy?”

When DeGeneres asked her if they bathe their dogs more often than they do their kids, Kunis replied, “Fact, yes.” “I know this was blown…oy, yoi, yoi, then we all started talking that we don’t bathe our children very often, and/or ourselves. Well, I shower every day, but I don’t wash my hair every day. Like, I don’t find that to be a necessity,” she continued.

The actress then clarified that her intent is always to bathe their kids daily, but things don’t work out as planned. “I wake up every day and like, ‘Today, I’m going to shower my kids.’ And then bedtime happens, and I forgot to feed them.”

She went on to mock other celebrities who have contributed to the discourse, particularly Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who remarked that he bathes thrice a day after Kunis and Kutcher’s bathing routines went viral.

“But apparently, The Rock showers, so congratulations, The Rock. You Shower,” Kunis said as she threw her hands in the air in sarcasm.

Pushed for more details about their bathing habits, Kunis said, “Sometimes it’s the pool, sometimes it’s the sprinkler. It’s COVID. Who showered in COVID? We didn’t leave the house. Who cares?”
