KEY POINTS

  • Mila Kunis has voiced Meg Griffin in Fox's "Family Guy" for the past two decades
  • Kunis starred in a string of box office hits, including the critically acclaimed "Black Swan" and "Ted"
  • The actress currently has an estimated net worth of $75 million

Mila Kunis has been one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood since landing her big break on “That ‘70s Show” in 1998. But while she has starred in many box office hits, she is perhaps most well-known for playing “Family Guy’s” Meg Griffin, a role that has made her millions.

While Kunis was not the first to play Meg — having replaced Lacey Chabert after the first season — she is the longest to voice the teenage girl turned punching bag of the chaotic Griffin family. According to The Things, Kunis started with $15,000 an episode when she joined in 2000, but after the show found success, she and the rest of the voice cast were able to negotiate a raise from studio 20th Century Fox Television.

By 2014, Kunis — along with fellow cast members Alex Borstein, Seth Green and Mike Henry — was making up to $225,000 for every episode of “Family Guy,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

That would amount to $4.5 million a year for Kunis. Since “Family Guy” has aired eight seasons since the deal was signed, the actress has potentially made around $36 million for voicing Meg since getting the raise.

Today, the Ukrainian-born actress is worth an estimated $75 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

While she was playing Meg on “Family Guy” and Jackie Burkhart on “That ‘70s Show,” Kunis also began picking up movie roles, including “Get Over It” opposite Kirsten Dunst. She didn’t find success in films until landing her role in 2008’s “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” which went on to gross more than $105 million worldwide.

The actress also starred in the critically acclaimed “Black Swan” in 2010 alongside Natalie Portman. The movie earned five Academy Awards nods and raked in $329 million worldwide.

After “Black Swan,” Kunis went on to star in a string of box office hits, including 2011’s “Friends With Benefits” ($150 million), 2012’s “Ted” ($549 million) and the 2013 movie “Oz the Great and Powerful” ($493 million).

When it comes to real estate, Kunis and her husband Ashton Kutcher, who played her love interest in “That ‘70s Show,” are living large.

The couple lives in a six-acre Los Angeles farmhouse equipped with reclaimed wood, floor-to-ceiling windows and a freestanding barbecue pavilion beside the pool and entirely powered using photovoltaics (solar energy), according to Architectural Digest. The home also has throne-style chairs Kutcher had commissioned in India and a luxurious 10-foot crystal chandelier, which hangs in the entertainment barn.
