Miley Cyrus took her top off on Instagram, again, and this time it was to show off her new tattoo. Since the singer knows IG’s policy on nudity, she covers her nipples in her topless photo, but the “Wrecking Ball” singer couldn’t help but take her top off after she received her ink.

The pop star was devastated when her dog Floyd died after being attacked by a coyote in April. She sang about him on her shows, mourned him on social media and now she has his image tattooed on her for life.

On Saturday night the former Disney star uploaded a series of pictures to Instagram that showed her and her friends getting matching tattoos of her late pooch during a house party. The Daily Mail surmised the tattoos were done at Cyrus’ abode in Los Angeles.

She and two friends, Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne and Katy Weaver, have a design of the late pup on their rib cages, with a speech bubble that comes from its mouth and says, “with a little help from my friends.”

Cyrus’ new tattoo comes just after she added a new dog to her pack: Emu. "I welcomed Emu Coyne Cyrus into the family a couple days ago. Been keepin him a secret cause sometimes I'm weird like that. It's taken some time to be ready for this next step and loving again. There will never be anyone like Floyd," she said. "There was a bond that was so deep it's irreplaceable but that's not what I am trying to do. Never will I replace Floyd and that's something I had to take time to understand."

The tattoo might have been her way to show her devotion to Floyd, but one thing Cyrus continues to be devoted to is “Free The Nipple.” According to Cyrus, the topless photos aren’t for attention; they’re for equality. It’s illegal for women to be topless in 37 U.S. states.

On Father’s Day weekend she posted a topless photo and covered her unmentionables with a cute cartoon bird. In December 2013, the 21-year-old singer exposed herself in a Christmas photo to Twitter. But this time, instead of a bird, she covered her ta-tas with “Merry Christmas” hearts and tagged @freethenipple in the post to show her support.
