Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth both attended the WME pre-Oscars party but reportedly avoided each other.

On Friday, Cyrus and Hemsworth were at the same event, but they were careful not to cross paths at the venue. According to a source, the exes “stayed away from each other.”

“Liam left when Miley and her parents got there,” the insider told Us Weekly.

Cyrus reportedly spent the time with her dad Billy Ray and mom Tish Cyrus. Chris Hemsworth’s brother appeared fine and was not upset, while Cyrus and her family seemed OK too, according to the witness. However, they just opted to keep their distance from each other.

“Miley’s parents were staying separate from Liam and were hanging out in the back area of the party,” the source continued. “They avoided him, but didn’t seem they had any beef with him. Miley also didn’t seem to be bothered by the fact that Liam was there because he left soon after she walked in. Liam doesn’t have bad feelings toward Miley, he just wants to move forward with his life. He’s happy with Gabriella [Brooks].”

An insider revealed back in December that Hemworth had already happily moved on from his failed marriage to Cyrus. He was already comfortable with her current girlfriend. Also, his family liked and approved Brooks, which was very important for him.

Hemsworth’s sister-in-law, Elsa Pataky, revealed that he was a “little bit down” after his split from Cyrus which was understandable given that he dedicated 10 years of his life in it. However, he was coping well because he was a strong boy. The “Thor” actor’s wife added that Hemsworth “deserves much better.”

Hemsworth and Cyrus met in 2019 when they filmed “The Last Song.” They had an on-again, off-again relationship for almost a decade before they decided to exchanged “I do’s” in Nashville, Tennessee in December 2018. However, their marriage did not last long.

In August, Cyrus was spotted kissing Kaitlyn Carter while they were on a trip in Italy. A day after that, Cyrus and Hemsworth announced their separation. Not long after that they filed for divorce which was finalized on Jan. 28. Both will be legally single on Feb. 22.
