Miley Cyrus' father Billy Ray Cyrus posted a photo of his daughter on Instagram and Twitter late Thursday where Miley Cyrus was pictured in a white dress, which led people on social media to speculate that she and her longtime fiancé Liam Hemsworth got married secretly.

However, Miley Cyrus' manager confirmed to Us Weekly on Friday that the 24-year-old pop star and Liam Hemsworth are not married. "[It was] just some great photos that happen to have been taken in a white dress," her manager commented on the picture.

Billy Ray Cyrus wrote, "I'm so happy...you are happy," on the post next to the picture of Miley Cyrus, smiling away in a white dress.

Many of their followers on Twitter and Instagram believed this post to be an indication of Miley Cyrus and Hemsworth's secret marriage.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer and her fiancé have been dating since they first met on the sets of the movie "The Last Song" in 2010. Miley Cyrus and Hemsworth got engaged in June 2012 and then broke up in September 2013. Their relationship has been off and on for almost seven years now. However, they came back together publicly on New Year's Eve in 2016. It is also rumored that the couple rekindled their romance before that in October 2015 when Hemsworth confessed he was still in love with Miley Cyrus. After they came back together, Miley Cyrus started to wear her 3.5-carat Neil Lane engagement ring. However, a source told Us Weekly at that time that Hemsworth "never formally proposed again."

According to Us Weekly, Billy Ray Cyrus encouraged the rumors after he retweeted posts of several users who kept on asking if Miley Cyrus got married. "Did she get married…." one follower asked, while another wrote, "I saw this and automatic thought wedding." Another fan begged for a response, "Did Miley get married?! I NEED ANSWERS."

The couple wanted to get married in a beachside ceremony in Australia last summer to keep it simple. However, a source told Us Weekly that they did not go ahead with that idea. "Miley is pretty adamant about having a small, private ceremony, but Liam wants a really big wedding, so I’m sure they’ll have to compromise," the source said earlier.
