It's off to splitsville for another "The Hills: New Beginnings" star. Mischa Barton has split from her boyfriend, James Abercrombie.

"Mischa and James are over," a source close to Mischa told E! News on Friday.

The 33-year-old met Abercrombie, the son of Andrew Abercrombie, the multi-millionaire founder and chairman of Australian financial services company FlexiGroup, at a party in Los Angeles and the pair dated for just over two years before the split.

Barton gained popularity from her role as Marissa Cooper on the American drama series "The O.C." She quit the hit Fox show a year before it ended in 2007. Since then, her career has been at a bit of a standstill. Despite what has happened, the actress is hopeful for the future.

"The reason she broke up with him is to focus on her career, the source said. "This is the first time Mischa is actually having a second life in her career, and she wants to focus on it."

"It's a new Mischa, and she is super happy about her future again," the source added. "She is all focused on the best she can be. She is really focused on her career. She is changing her life."

Focusing on her career is exactly what Barton is doing. It was only Wednesday that news broke she signed with a manager, Alex Kovacs at United Entertainment.

Barton is also one of the newest members of "The Hills: New Beginnings" cast which just received the green light for a second season in July.

After landing new management and, hopefully, remaining on the cast for the second season of the hit MTV show, Barton is definitely on her way to re-establishing herself in the industry.
