A man who went missing from Florida was found buried days after his disappearance. Two people, including his estranged wife, have been arrested on charges of murder.

The 28-year-old Tamarac man, Gianni Coto, was last seen on Jan. 21 and was reported missing nine days later by a family member. His body was found buried in Indian River County on Jan.30, police said, reported Miami Herald.

Investigators arrested Coto's estranged wife, Trinity Bownes, and another man, identified as Brandon Jenkins from Tennessee, on multiple charges, including first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.

"This isn't the outcome that detectives wanted, but they have an answer for the family. A difficult answer, but they were able to get them answers during this difficult time," said Miranda Grossman, a spokesperson for Broward Sheriff's Office, reported NBC Miami.

Police believe Coto went to Bownes' residence on Jan.21 and got into an argument with her. He was fatally stabbed during the altercation. Jenkins, who was present there at the time, also "became involved in the incident," police said Monday.

Investigators have not revealed what possibly led to the argument and the fatal stabbing. Cops have also not disclosed any other details of the incident.

Deputies from Clarksville Police Department took Jenkins into custody from Tennessee on Feb. 3. Bownes turned herself into the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office in California a day later, reports said.

Coto's sister, Elianne Rojas, said she had warned him to stay away from Bownes after he told her the woman was abusive. Rojas also claimed that when she contacted Bownes after her brother went missing, the latter told her she did not see him.

"I just had this terrible feeling, and you know, she tells me 'no,'" Rojas told NBC Miami.

In a similar incident last week, a 14-year-old boy in Texas who was missing for weeks was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds. The teenager from Houston, Carlos Lugo, was last seen when his mother dropped him off at a friend's apartment on Jan. 21 and was reported missing two days later. His body was discovered on Feb. 4, about a mile away from his last known location. Investigators suspect foul play.
