The police in San Diego have requested the public to come forward if they have any information regarding missing 19-year-old Serena Stevens.

The teenager had last contacted her family on Jan. 13 after she arrived in San Diego the previous day from New York. According to the police, Stevens had told her sister she would head to the coast and “sleep on the beach.” However, after her family failed to contact her, they filed a missing complaint.

The police have classified her as at-risk because she has not been reported missing before, KUSI News reported. The authorities described Stevens as a white woman with brown hair and eyes. She is reportedly 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and about 140 pounds.

Stevens had reportedly posted photos and videos to her social media of the coastline and “areas possibly in Ocean Beach.”

The authorities have asked the public to contact the San Diego Police Department at at (619) 531-2000 with case #22-500059 if they have any information regarding Stevens' whereabouts, a post by the police said on Twitter.

It remains unclear if she was accompanied by someone on her beach getaway. Other details about the girl remain unknown.

This is a developing story.
