The 162-game Major League Baseball season ends Sunday with the American League postseason matchups all set, but with some complications as to how the National League will unfold.

There will be plenty of National League scoreboard watching on Sunday. The Atlanta Braves won the East but Atlanta owns the same record as the two West contenders. Atlanta will have home-field advantage in National League Division Series if the Braves win and both West teams lose.

There is plenty more to unpack.

The Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs are tied in the Central, while the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies are knotted up in the West. That means there could be two tie-breaker games on Monday.

If the Brewers and Cubs both win or both lose on Sunday, they will play each other in a tiebreaker at Wrigley Field. If the Dodgers and Rockies both win or both lose on Sunday, they will play each other in a tiebreaker at Dodger Stadium.

The teams that don't win the division will meet in Tuesday's wild-card play-in game. The No. 2 team in the West will be on the road to face the No. 2 team in the Central.

The winner of the wild-card game will be on the road Thursday to face the Central winner in the NLDS, while the West champion will face the Braves on Thursday in the NLDS.

The St. Louis Cardinals won't be interested in looking at scoreboards after being eliminated from the postseason on Saturday.

In the AL, the New York Yankees host the Oakland Athletics in Wednesday's wild-card game. The Boston Red Sox will host the wild-card winner on Friday in the American League Division Series. The Houston Astros host the Cleveland Indians on Friday in the ALDS.
