Mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor has made the headlines for all the wrong reasons once more after he was caught on video punching a 50-year-old man in the face at a pub in Ireland. The elder man reportedly rejected the booze being handed out by The Notorious and that is where the ugly scene started.

It was an unfortunate incident for the former UFC champion, another dent in his image. UFC president Dana White gave his take on the whole thing, saying that a lot of guys get punched in the face every day in a pub in Ireland, TMZ reported.

However, White adds that this excludes people who hold a high-profile image. Without question, McGregor is not a regular kind of guy and that he should have known better or taken control of himself better.

"The bottom line is when you're not a regular guy, you're a high-profile guy, and you're a professional fighter, you can't do it. That you can't do," said White.

Now, the Irishman is begging for forgiveness for his actions and claims that he is trying to change for the better. With the violent incidents piling up to his credit, McGregor needs to find a way to rebuild his image and fast.

The good news (or is it?) for McGregor is that there is one man standing up for him - Iron Mike Tyson. In another report from TMZ, the former boxer says that the Irishman is a good man and deserves another chance.

"He's a wonderful person. He's a really kind man and he's gonna get good karma for that," Tyson said ... "I believe that."

The former heavyweight champion is confident that McGregor will find a way to bounce back from this debacle. However, Tyson himself is not spared from controversy. In a previous post, he revealed that $40,000 worth of weed is smoked every month on his ranch. Some have taken exception, even lambasting him for consuming too much weed. Some even think he is lying, asking how that was possible considering he is in financial turmoil.

As for McGregor, it will be interesting how he gets out of this mess. He continues to be mentioned in UFC rumors but it appears he just added another issue that potential opponents can use against him. That includes Khabib Nurmagomedov who took a swipe at The Notorious on the Dublin bar fiasco, in another TMZ report.

“They have to go jail. This happened in Ireland? What happened about Ireland government? We guys from Russia have problem with visa, but why this bullsh-t guy don’t have problem with visa in USA? How USA can give him visa or something like this, respect or job? These people, they have to go jail.”
