Ariel Winter is furious about reports suggesting that she’s supporting her boyfriend Levi Meaden financially.

On Wednesday, Winter, 19, took to Instagram to debunk rumors circulating that she has been bankrolling her boyfriend. The “Modern Family” star made it clear that she is certainly not happy about the claims and explained that her beau does not need her financial support.

“I have BOYFRIEND and a PERSONAL ASSISTANT who are NOT the same person. I would NEVER pay my boyfriend ANY sort of allowance, nor would he EVER accept if I offered,” Winter wrote. “He BUYS his own stuff whether it’s for me or for himself, and he more than pulls his weight for our life.”

The actress continued by saying that she is not supporting anyone and does not need anyone to support her. She even boasted about the growing career of her boyfriend and credited his own effort and hard work for his success. “I don’t support anyone, and I don’t need anyone to support me. He’s got a full career (including something huge that’s new) and works hard for it,” the actress said of Meaden. “He’s not just someone’s boyfriend. So if you don’t know us, don’t comment.”

Winter then called Star Magazine, the tabloid that speculated on her supporting Meaden financially, a “non reputable source” and a “trash magazine.” She added that she hates fake news.

According to Entertainment Tonight, this is not the first time Winter has defended her relationship with Meaden, who is 10 years her senior. The couple is already living together, and many are not happy that they do. The criticisms later prompted Winter to speak up about their relationship and living arrangement. “There are tons of people of all ages that live with their boyfriend. There are tons of people that live with their girlfriends, [and] tons of people that don’t live together and are super happy. But I’m super happy in the arrangement that we have. We love living together. It’s just great,” said the actress.

Meanwhile, Winter previously told Jimmy Kimmel when she stopped by his talk show that they divide the household duties. She is not good at cooking, but she can bake pies so he takes care of the kitchen and the rest of the handy stuff, as per E! News. “I’m like, the worst ‘wifely’ person but whatever,” Winter admitted. “Like I said, I baked those pies. He does everything else.”
