In a shocking incident in India, a 3-year-old child was buried alive in a graveyard, allegedly by her mother and maternal grandmother.

The girl child was rescued by local villagers who heard her screams Monday, the police said.

The incident took place in Bihar's Saran district, according to Times Now. The people near the graveyard heard the screams of the child, and were initially scared to go inspect.
