KEY POINTS

  • The new smartwatches will have 5ATM water resistance, GPS and NFC
  • Moto G Smartwatch will reportedly be out in June
  • eBuyNow secured a licensing deal with Motorola in 2019 to produce smartwatches

A leaked slide from eBuyNow's recent earnings report showed the e-commerce company's complete product list for this year. Among the collection of air purifiers, IP cameras and smart lighting systems were three smartwatches under Motorola's "Moto" label.

The leaked image shows the case back of one model with its specifications engraved on the outer ring. Normally, this is the section wherein manufacturers print regulatory information about the device. But the text was unclear due to the angle and lighting obscuring the reflective surface. Only the Motorola emblem and the Moto badge were visible.

Using some digital enhancements, Reddit user TheMacJezza has revealed that a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 is what the company is offering.

Other features include 5ATM water resistance, GPS and NFC. The bottom of the smartwatch features a glass cover with a wireless charging coil.

eBuyNow reportedly will release three new Moto wearables later this year – Moto G Smartwatch, Moto Watch and Moto One. The first is likely a mid-ranger as the "G" in its name suggests. The other two will likely be classified under smart fitness wearables, Droid Life reported.

Not many wearables use Snapdragon Wear 4100, despite the slew of improvements it brings to the table. Aside from the upcoming Motorola Moto lineup, the only smartwatch with Qualcomm's latest silicon for wearables is Mobvoi's TicWatch Pro 3.

Moto G Smartwatch will reportedly be out in June, while Moto Watch and Motor One are slated to be released in July. They are expected to run on Google's Wear OS.

eBuyNow, which recently merged with CE Brands, secured a licensing deal with Motorola to produce smartwatches under its Moto branding. The Moto 360 distributed by retailers in 2019 was the first one it manufactured.
