A 50-year-old man and his 30-year-old girlfriend have been attacked and robbed by a pair of muggers on a Brooklyn street.

The man cashed his $18,000 settlement check Monday and stashed it in the woman's purse. At around 2:45 p.m., the couple visited Star Jewelry on Graham Avenue in Williamsburg, cops said as per NY Daily News.

At the time, one of the muggers was inside the store. He reportedly saw the woman flaunting the money stuffed in her purse. The robber called an accomplice and then proceeded to follow the couple out of the store.

They attacked the couple on Graham Avenue just a few moments after leaving the store, according to police. One of the suspects grabbed the woman's purse containing $18,000 in cash. When she resisted, the other suspect repeatedly beat her with a cane, reported PIX11.

The man tried to intervene but he was also hit by the cane. The second suspect also punched him and knocked him to the ground.

As the muggers ran off with the purse, the woman chased the pair down the block. However, she failed to catch them.

The man suffered a leg fracture and bruises while the woman had a wrist injury and head pain, authorities said.

As of writing, the police are still looking for the attackers.

Authorities released a video of the chase Thursday and asked the public to help identify the muggers and track them down.

The victim was delivering pizza to a house at the Richmond Terrace Houses on Jersey Street when five men began harassing him. When the victim resisted, one of the men hit him, causing him to fall to the ground. The robbers then kicked the victim in the head. Meanwhile, one of the men then stole the cash and the pizza.
