Kim Kardashian-West has made her mark when it comes to fighting for prison reform after famously meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House last May to discuss the social issue, which ended up significantly aiding in the release of former inmate Alice Johnson. Now, it seems she is not only interested in having prisoners released, but also in helping them reacclimate to society.

Most recently, the mother-of-three offered to pay five years of rent for former inmate Matthew Charles, whose case she previously spoke about to President Trump, according to The Tennessean.

Charles, who was born in Nashville, Tennessee, was released from prison in 2016 due to changes in penalties only to be forced to return last May after serving 21 years of his original 35-year sentence for dealing cocaine in the mid-90s.

Kardashian-West tweeted about the situation at the time, writing, "...[Charles] serves over 21 yrs, is released, finds a job, new relationship, starts a new life, & now is being sent back for another 10 yrs because the original release was an error. This man has completely rehabilitated himself. So sad."

But now, he may be able to once again establish himself in society. The 38-year-old reality star has reportedly promised to pay five years of rent bills for Charles so he can get back on his feet after being denied housing due to his conviction.

The 51-year-old shared the news on Facebook late last week. “I just received the most wonderful news tonight that I just had to share with everyone. Kim Kardashian-West, through Tracy, said they heard about my situation. Was moved and has decided to help me."

He added, "Kim did not do this for attention or publicity, but I had to share it, because it's too good not to, and my heart is about to burst with happiness, that I wish you to rejoice in this news with me. And many of your responses about the outcome of my dilemma prophesied it.

GOD IS GOOD!!!. WHAT THE DEVIL MEANT FOR BAD, GOD REVERSED AGAIN, FOR MY GOOD. **THANK YOU KIM KARDISHIAN-WEST and TRACY FOR THE LOVE SHOWN TO ME WHEN I WAS LOCKED UP. AND NOW THAT I'M FREE.. MY HEART IS ENLARGED.”
