In the last episode, before the first match begins, Hitoshi Shinso explains his new Quirk, named Brainwashing, to others. He says he can focus his attention on the target and try to brainwash the person.

If he can get the person to answer him, the brainwashing process is complete. However, Shinso adds the Quirk is not perfect because if the target gets a certain level of shock, the Quirk will lose its effect.

He also reveals he has artificial vocal cords that will help him deceive the targets. Soon, Vlad announces the commencement of the first round.
