Mizuto and Yume almost kiss each other but are interrupted by their parents. They realize that situations as such are exactly why they parted ways.

The official website has released the spoiler stills and synopsis of "My Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex" Episode 2. Yume changes her personality and appearance upon entering high school, establishing herself as an honor student.

However, there is something she can't change, and that is her motor nerve stimulation. On the day of her physical fitness test day, Akatsuki of the same class calls out her name. Yume is a fierce competitor on the field, and she is expected to shine in the upcoming test.

Meanwhile, Mizuto looks completely demotivated to take the test.

In the previous episode, Mizuto and Yume became stepsiblings after Mizuto's father, Mineaki, and Yume's mother, Yuni, got married.

However, their parents were unaware that they were lovers in middle school.

The anime, which is titled "Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Moto Kano Datta" in Japanese, is based on a light novel series written by Kyousuke Kamishiro and illustrated by Takayaki. The series is directed by Shinsuke Yanagi and the series composition is Deko Akao.

"My Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex" Episode 2 is scheduled to air Wednesday. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episode online on Crunchyroll. The installment will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
