NBA champ Jeremy Lin is now a prospect for CSKA Moscow and could become the highest-paid player in Europe.

This year has evidently been a bittersweet one for Lin. After winning his first NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors, the once-phenomenal NBA star known as "Linsanity" has not received an offer from any NBA team this summer.

In a motivational speech in Taiwan, Lin expressed his true feelings about his free agency. According to Lin, the past few years have been harder and harder for him and he's starting to believe that he is now hitting "rock bottom" in his career, ESPN reported.

"Every year it gets harder. In English there's a saying and it says once you hit rock bottom, the only way is up," Lin stated.

Lin even added that he feels like the league has kind of given up on him as a player. "But rock bottom just seems to keep getting more and more rock bottom for me. So, free agency has been tough. Because I feel like in some ways the NBA's kind of given up on me," Lin added.

But as Lin starts to feel depressed in his current free agency, a new beginning seems to be knocking on his door as EuroLeague's CSKA Moscow is reportedly considering him for the playmaker role of the team next season.

Sources told Sportando that Lin is CSKA Moscow’s top target at guard position. The EuroLeague and VTB League reigning champions need a guard to finalize the roster for next season, and they reportedly made an offer to the NBA champion who is actually free agent.

With this apparent offer on the table, Lin may have the potential to be the highest-paid player in Europe. That is if CSKA Moscow will offer him the money he's worth in the NBA.

Lin is optimistic he will probably get a veteran minimum contract offer, which is $2.3 million, at some point during this offseason. But the question is if CSKA Moscow is willing make an offer close or even higher than this amount, Yahoo Sports noted.

However, CSKA Moscow needs a well-rounded point guard heading into next season and is reportedly not going to wait around a long time to fill that vacancy. This simply means that Lin has to make a decision soon.

Lin has played for multiple NBA teams and was famous for his shortlived reign as a New York Knicks superstar several years ago.
