All eyes were at the TD Garden in Boston on Wednesday night when the Boston Celtics hosted the Brooklyn Nets in a National Basketball Association action.

Many anticipated how the Boston fans will welcome Kyrie Irving in his first game back at the TD Garden this time as a Net.

However, Irving suffered a right shoulder injury during the Nets' loss to the Utah Jazz on Nov. 12. It was later confirmed to be an impingement.

“‘Impingement’ refers to excessive contact of the front rotator cuff tendon against the acromion — the part of the shoulder blade that comprises the front corner of the shoulder,” Dr. John Kelly IV explained Irving's injury to Kristian Winfield of New York Daily News.

Kelly added, “There is a high likelihood that Mr. Irving has a labral tear or loosening of the shoulder capsule due to repetitive stress.” He further said that if the pain persists, Irving may have to undergo surgery which could end his season right there.

Kyrie Irving still tried to play through the impingement in the Nets' next loss to the Denver Nuggets, but the Nets found Irving's injury to be too much and decided to sit him out when they first took on the Celtics at home in the Barclays Center.

Then came their rematch at the TD Garden on Wednesday night. With Irving listed as day to day, the waiting game went on if he will play in his former home or not.

Brooklyn eventually announced that Irving will sit out his Boston homecoming, and that did not sit well to a certain company named LFG Sports.

The said organization began putting up posters calling Irving a "coward" close to the TD Garden as the game approaches.

With the NBA in a Thanksgiving break, the head of LFG Sports finally spoke up on why he and his group did such an act.

“We thought of this a couple weeks ago, knowing [Irving] was coming back,” Griffin Whitman told Megan O'Brien of Boston.com.

Whitman further bared that they wanted the posters to be named "liar" in relation to Irving signed with Brooklyn instead of staying with Boston as per his previous statement.

“It was a good opportunity for us to send a message to him because we were disappointed in how he handled his tenure with the Celtics,” Whitman continued.
