Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green flew to New York City a few days ago and is believed to have paid Kevin Durant a visit and tried to convince him to stay with the Dubs.

Once in the history of the Warriors, Draymond and Durant had a healthy feud, but now, it seems that both players, especially Draymond, have already squashed it and hope to win more championships together. In fact, rumors claimed that Draymond took a New York flight from San Francisco with his family to visit KD, New York Post reported.

As expected, the apparently friendly visit seems to involve some drama as sources claimed that the 29-year-old All-Star came to NY to speak with Durant and reportedly convince his teammate to stay with the Warriors.

But just recently, Draymond denied this rumor and stated that he headed to the Hamptons to celebrate a friend’s engagement party. This is a much different story to what an NBA source told Marc Berman of the New York Post about Draymond planning to visit KD, according to NBC Sports.

“It’s his friend. KD doesn’t have to be recruited by Draymond after being there three years,” the source said.

Regardless of the reason why Draymond flew to New York, one thing remains true with the Warriors these days. The team just lost the NBA Finals, and worse, the Dubs may lose two of its biggest superstars, KD and Klay Thompson.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is positive that KD and Klay can bounce back and play with the team again despite the major injuries they sustained during the playoffs. Also, Kerr hopes that the two upcoming free agents will re-sign with the Warriors.

In addition to this, Kerr also has “unbelievable confidence” in Dubs GM Bob Myers on recuperating the team this summer, Slam Online reported.

“No. I don’t look at it or think about it in those terms, I really don’t. Steph is going to be back next year. Draymond is going to be back. We’re going to have a bunch of players from here and we can still be really good, assuming we get some breaks health wise. Klay and KD – they can recover and can be really good again. So I don’t look at it from that standpoint at all,” Kerr explained.

After all, the Warriors are in a bad situation right now as the fact still remains that Durant is strongly linked to the Knicks and Klay has a major injury that could affect him in the future.
