With the NBA trade deadline over and done with, there were several players who remain in limbo as far as their basketball careers are concerned. Enes Kanter, Robin Lopez and Wayne Ellington head the list, but these players are likely to be picked up once they clear waivers.

Kanter got his walking papers from the New York Knicks a couple of days ago, and the double-double machine is likely to get his share of suitors. One team reportedly interested in the Turkish big man is the Boston Celtics. Following the Jabari Bird trade, something could go down soon, Yahoo Sports reported.

Robin Lopez has long been rumored as likely to be dealt before the NBA trade deadline. He remains with the ballclub with no team coming forward to get something done. The Bulls made it known that they do not intend to buy out Lopez, who is in the final year of his four-year $54-million deal, NBC Sports reported.

Right now, Lopez is facing two scenarios. One is that he will have to stay in Chicago until the rest of the season or try to undergo negotiations so that he can play for another team moving forward.

One team that has a roster spot and could use either Kanter or Lopez is the Golden State Warriors. That roster spot was created with the departure of Patrick McCaw and there is no clarity yet on who they play to insert into that spot. Seeing how the Warriors want to plug that big hole in the middle, either player could be considered by the Dubs.

And while Kanter and Lopez are waiting for their next stop, there are players who have already found their new home. Wayne Ellington, traded alongside Tyler Johnson by the Miami Heat to the Phoenix Suns for Ryan Anderson, has cleared waivers and is set to join the Detroit Pistons, CBS Sports reported. He is likely to take the place of Reggie Bullock, who was sent by the Pistons to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Right now, Carmelo Anthony, Marcin Gortat, Frank Kaminsky and Markieff Morris are other names who could be picked up by NBA teams in the coming days. Anthony and Morris have been linked to the Lakers, another team which has a roster spot open. This was discussed in detail in a previous post.
