It is no secret that the Miami Heat has been linked to the Washington Wizards duo of John Wall and Bradley Beal. Of the two, however, it is the latter which seems to be more of the priority. And while team president Pat Riley and head coach Erik Spoelstra are mapping out plans to get it done, new Heat player Jimmy Butler could be doing some pitching of his own.

Seeing an NBA player follow another one may hardly mean much although the case of Butler following Beal is likely to result in speculation about the Heat's future. That recent Instagram activity is like opening a big can of worms, one that will lead many to come up with rumors on what may happen next. One can just refer to the people the 29-year-old is following right now.

Last month, sources told the Miami Herald that the Heat are open to taking in the final four years of Wall's contract if Beal is included. The 26-year-old shooting guard is eligible for free agency in 2021. The scenario makes more sense especially since the Heat are reportedly looking to deal off players with massive contracts.

The players mentioned in a previous post include Hassan Whiteside, Goran Dragic, James Johnson, and Dion Waiters. So far, only Whiteside has been shipped to the Portland Trail Blazers while Dragic almost went to the Dallas Mavericks until talks bogged down. Recently, there is also the case of Kelly Olynyk who is reaching the home stretch of his $50 million deal. The 28-year-old could opt-out, meaning more salary cap reprieve for the South Beach squad.

The Heat, assuming they are determined to land Beal and Wall, could be in a complicated situation. Some of their current players need to go with emphasis likely on the three remaining names mentioned above. Also, a backcourt overhaul could do well for Miami as they try to form a formidable triumvirate with Butler moving forward. Miami feels that Wall can still recall his old form once he is back in harness, believing this could best happen in South Beach.
