Two-time All-Star Victor Oladipo is “looking to move on” as he begins a quest for a new team in the offseason, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.

Oladipo would be on the final stretch of his four-year, $85 million contract with the Indiana Pacers, but speculation, according to Weiss, claims the 28-year-old could be headed to Boston instead in exchange for Gordon Hayward – an Indiana native - in a package deal that would also include several draft picks.

Oladipo, a former second-overall draft pick, unleashed his full potential when he landed in Indiana from Oklahoma City in 2017 following a blockbuster swap involving the Pacers’ ex-franchise superstar Paul George.

In his first season with the team, Oladipo immediately stamped his class as he earned his first All-Star selection in the same year. He averaged 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists and led the NBA in steals at 2.4 per game en route to being named the NBA’s Most Improved Player.

His career continued to skyrocket the following season, turning himself into a bona fide star for the Pacers. His consistent display of top-notch basketball was enough to give him a spot in the 2019 All-Star game.

But just when everything was progressing the way he had always wanted, his career took a major setback when he suffered a ruptured quad tendon in his right knee in a game against the Toronto Raptors in January last year.

Oladipo has since returned to the team and even joined them in the Orlando bubble where they got booted out by the Miami Heat in the first round of the Playoffs.

Now that he is back on a break, Oladipo vows to be focused as he braces for a major decision for the next NBA season, which is reported to begin in January 2021.

“It’s a big year for me. I know it’s a huge year, and I know that obviously I’m gonna have to be focused and take things to another level,” Oladipo told Forbes’ Shlomo Sprung.

“But my thing is that I’m at my best when my back is against the wall. I always feel like I’m overlooked, underrated. I’ve always been like that my whole life,” he added. “I’m looking forward to the actual season when it gets here. I just know what I have to do. And I’m looking forward to doing so.”
