  • Kemba Walker is expected to be dealt away once more by the Thunder
  • Trading Walker for Ben Simmons could make sense for the Thunder
  • The Lakers will need to give up a huge package to acquire Walker

Kemba Walker is not expected to stay long with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and most see another NBA trade coming.

The Thunder acquired the four-time NBA All-Star in a trade with the Boston Celtics. That deal involved Al Horford and Moses Brown to go along with some future picks.

Considering that OKC is determined to infuse youth and turn to young stars, a trade out of OKC is imminent, the New York Daily reported.

But considering Walker has not exactly performed well the past season, a deal involving the 6-foot guard may take time.

Several teams have been linked to Walker, but all are considered hearsay at the moment.

One team that has been suggested is the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers fell short in the Eastern Conference semi-finals with Ben Simmons getting blamed for their fortunes.

There have been calls to trade the former top pick because he has been disappearing during crunch moments.

That is aside from his questionable decision-making when the game is on the line, raising doubts on whether he can be a certified superstar.

However, the Sixers are not the only ones tied to Walker. The Los Angeles Lakers are also looking for another star and a trade that would include Kyle Kuzma and some other assets.

A move to the Lakers would take much to complete although it would address a missing piece in the rotation of head coach Frank Vogel.

Los Angeles showed flaws in scoring and playmaking last season, something that needs to be addressed.

There is also the expected exit of Dennis Schroder that would leave a huge void at point guard.

Alex Caruso and Talen Horton-Tucker are still around, but general manager Rob Pelinka is expected to try to look for someone more seasoned.

Simmons and Kuzma could be intriguing trade assets that the Thunder may consider. Both are still young and could shine with the right exposure with the Thunder.

Furthermore, both are long-term options compared to Walker.
