John Wall has been out of action although there is a chance he could be ready by next season. Being out for so long, the responsibility of carrying the Washington Wizards has now fallen on the shoulders of Bradley Beal. As most have seen, the 26-year-old has responded to the challenge. This has spurred NBA trade rumors on Beal but nothing went beyond that.

In the past years, rumored bad blood between Beal and Wall came out. While it is likely because of popularity and playing time, the former top pick of the 2010 NBA Draft finally set the records straight. He appeared on ESPN's Game Time recently and cleared the air on the suggested rift.

“I have no problems with Brad. I want to win as much as he do. I won’t be myself if I didn’t have him. I don’t feel like he’ll be himself if he didn’t have me,” Wall said.

With Beal's NBA career on the rise, it is hardly surprising that some feel that Wall is expendable. Trade scenarios involving the 29-year-old guard cropped up but the Wizards also had no plans of dealing away the injury-prone guard. On his end, Wall prefers to wait for the go-signal for him to play and partner back with Beal for Washington.

"I can’t wait to get to play with a person like that. Cause when I played with him he wasn’t on this level. The way he’s playing now it makes him more dangerous the way he can create for people and create for himself even more,” Wall said.

Wall has been out since the 2018-19 NBA season after suffering a heel injury. The original prognosis was to see him back by February 2020. However, he remains indisposed but could be around by the 2020-21 season. For insurance, it may explain why the Wizards are exerting much effort to scout LaMelo Ball.

In a previous post, it was mentioned how Washington seems hell-bent on drafting Ball at the 2020 NBA Draft. To do so, they need to be among the top four teams picking first. The Wizards have a 4.5 percent chance of landing the rights to the top pick.

Assuming they do successfully take in Ball, most see him filling up for Wall if the veteran guard is still not ready. But once he is ready to play, the Wizards could have a loaded trio of shooters that should send serious warning shots to other NBA teams.
