While the reunion of “JAG” characters Harmon Rabb Jr. (David James Elliott) and Sarah MacKenzie (Catherine Bell) will take some time in “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 11, the two will continue the long distance conversations in the premiere. One topic that will be discussed is their relationship, which they previously left fate to decide.

Harmon and Sarah had previously let a coin toss decide their future. That will change on the show this year. CBS released a trailer of the upcoming season, and the video includes scenes of the relationship of the two “JAG” characters.

“We're way past letting fate decide,” Sarah says, in an obvious reference to the coin toss, TV Insider reported. The result of the coin toss was that Harmon passed on a JAG position in London to be with Sarah in San Diego, but he wanted to “get back in the fight.” The two characters were engaged back then, but they lived “separate lives.”

The “pretense” of the marriage ended when Sarah took the job at the State Department. “NCIS Los Angeles” Season 11 will give the two characters another shot at their relationship.

Photos of the premiere episode that have been posted on TV Insider reveal that Harmon will continue to work with Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) to catch the spies on the U.S.S. Allegiance. Meanwhile, Sarah will continue to work with Hetty (Linda Hunt) on the Middle East missile crises.

The show will pick from Season 10 finale, in which ISIS managed to launch missiles from Iran into Saudi Arabia and Israel. Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) were last seen trapped in a mobile CIA unit while facing terrorists in Iraq.

The teaser trailer confirmed that “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 11 will be just as action packed, with explosions and rescue missions, ET Online reported. The show will premiere on Sept. 29 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
