A new book starring Princess Charlotte will be released during the tot’s first birthday on May 2. The new illustrated children’s book has been written by Singapore-based children’s writer David Seow. The book is scheduled for publication in April.

Titled “A Royal Adventure” Seow’s new book is about Princess Charlotte, her parents Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess off Cambridge, her big brother Prince George and their pet dog Lupo. The book revolves around escapades of the Cambridges’ around London. Talking to Hello, Seow said that “A Royal Adventure” is a sequel to his previous book “A Day with the Duchess.”

“I wanted to set the second book in London. I lived in London for two years,” said David, talking about his inspiration for the new book. He added that he loved London and wanted to feature all the places he loved in the city in “A Royal Adventure.” Also, Seow added that George, Charlotte and Lupo had to be in the book as without them there would be no royal adventure.

The writer revealed that most of the action in the book is set in London, across the city, but most of the action takes place in Kensington Palace. The new book is still being completed and illustrations are being done by illustrator S oefara Janney. Seow has also teased his readers with two illustrations from the book.

Meanwhile, talking about Kate and William’s visit to Singapore in 2012 he said that there were no s ouvenirs commemorating their visit to Singapore. That is how Seow had the idea to write “A Day with the Duchess,” which was published by Epigram Books. He reminisced how he, his mom and his niece had the opportunity to meet Kate during her walkabout at Gardens by the Bay.

Seow also recalled that his mom had given the British royal a copy of his book “Blow a Kiss.” The writer joked that his mom had once told a reporter that had given Celine Dion a copy of one of his books who later went on to have a baby. Late Kate also gave birth to George in July 2013.

Talking about memories of the royal family, he said that his late uncle played polo with Prince Charles when the latter visited Singapore in 1970. His older sister also met Charles. Seow, who is a huge fan of Princess Diana, met her during a school trip to London in 1992 and he was nervous.

Meanwhile, his new children’s book “A Royal Adventure” will be published by Epigram Books in April.
