Jana Duggar was never officially linked to Caleb Williams and luckily so. It has been revealed that the friend of the “Counting On” Duggar family and Jana’s once-rumored courtship partner has been arrested for sex crimes.

Court documents obtained by In Touch Weekly reveal Caleb was arrested last month on two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in his home state of Illinois. It is reported that Caleb was accused of two Class 2 felonies, including penetrating a minor that was older than 13, but younger than 17.

The first crime is said to have occurred between May 29, 2015, and Aug. 1, 2016, with the second crime occurring between Aug. 1, 2016, and May 31, 2018. Caleb “was at least 5 years older” than his victim(s) when the crime took place, according to Radar Online.

After spending one night in jail, Caleb was released on $50,000 bond by his mother, Dawn Williams. Two days later, he pleaded not guilty to the crimes in court.

Caleb is due in court in January. He has reportedly been ordered to remain in Illinois until then. He is also under probation and has been ordered to have no contact with minors.

Jana was first linked to Caleb in October 2017 after he was photographed having dinner with the Duggars. At the time, the family did not confirm the two were in a courtship, though it was reported by Radar that he had been “close friends” with the reality TV family for years.

The previous month, Jana was also rumored to be dating Caleb’s brother, Jacob Williams. He outright denied the dating speculation.

This isn’t the first sex scandal for the Duggar family. In 2015, it was revealed that Josh Duggar, the eldest of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s brood had molested five girls in 2002 when he was 14. Two of Josh’s sisters, Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard, later confirmed themselves to be two of their brother’s victims.

In August of that year, Josh was also found to have utilized the dating service Ashley Madison, who helps married individuals find affair partners. Josh soon after admitted to cheating on his wife, Anna Duggar. The two are still married.
