It’s the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs, and then everyone else. Through four weeks of the 2019 NFL season, the two teams that met in last year’s AFC Championship Game have separated themselves from the rest of the league.

New England and Kansas City are the clear Super Bowl LIV favorites as the only teams to get off to a 4-0 start. The Patriots have +333 championship odds, followed by the Chiefs and their +500 betting odds.

No other NFL team even has 10/1 Super Bowl odds. The Dallas Cowboys are third with +1100 odds.

Every other AFC team is seemingly in a race for third place. The Cleveland Browns have the third-best Super Bowl odds in the conference at +2200. The Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers are next at +2500.

The Buffalo Bills are the only AFC team besides New England and Kansas City that has three wins. Buffalo was beaten in Week 4 after getting off to a 3-0 start, losing at home to the Patriots 16-10.

Tom Brady played poorly Sunday in Buffalo, but New England didn’t need a big performance from their quarterback. The Patriots gave up 10 points and totaled four interceptions with the NFL’s best defense.

New England ranks first in the league, surrendering 243 yards and 6.8 points per game.

Brady is no longer the NFL’s best quarterback. That title belongs to Patrick Mahomes, who might be headed for his second straight MVP award. The Chiefs’ quarterback engineered a game-winning drive in Week 4 to beat the previously undefeated Detroit Lions 34-30 on the road.

Mahomes leads the NFL with 1,510 passing yards, 10 touchdowns and a 120.4 passer rating. The quarterback has no interceptions on the season. The Chiefs have scored at least 26 points in all 23 of Mahomes’ career starts, including the playoffs.

Kansas City and Baltimore rank first in the NFL with 33.8 points per game. The Chiefs beat the Ravens 33-28 in Week 4.

The Patriots are one of five NFL teams that are averaging more than 30 points per game. New England leads the league by a mile with a plus-95 point differential.
