The New England Patriots will visit the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11 of the 2019 NFL season in a Super Bowl LII rematch. Tied for the best record in football, the defending champs are favored to win on the road Sunday afternoon.

Philadelphia is a 3.5-point underdog at Lincoln Financial Field, according to the latest betting line at OddsShark. The game total is 44.5

It’s actually been a few weeks since the Patriots won a game. New England lost to the Baltimore Ravens 37-20 in Week 9 before going on their bye.

The Eagles had a bye in Week 10, as well. Philadelphia won their second straight game in Week 9, defeating the Chicago Bears 22-14.

With a 5-4 record, the Eagles are tied atop the NFC East with the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas owns the tiebreaker because they defeated Philadelphia 37-10 in Week 7.

The Eagles have bounced back with victories against two teams that have trouble scoring. The Bears rank 29th in total offense. The Buffalo Bills, whom Philadelphia beat 31-13 in Week 8, are 25th in points per game.

New England hasn’t been an offensive juggernaut. With injuries to the offensive line and upheaval at wide receiver, the Patriots are just 22nd in yards per play.

The Patriots do lead the AFC with 30 points per game, turning defense into offense with the greatest quarterback of all-time still at the helm. New England ranks first in the NFL with 27 takeaways. Tom Brady remains better than most signal callers.

Philadelphia’s winning record is the product of beating bad quarterbacks. Aside from upsetting Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, the Eagles have defeated Case Keenum, Luke Falk, Josh Allen and Mitchell Trubisky.

Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, Dak Prescott and Kirk Cousins all beat the Eagles. The Eagles gave up an average of 31.5 points in those games.

Injuries to the secondary hurt Philadelphia in the first half of the season. Returning starters have helped the unit improve, but the Eagles still don’t have an above-average pass defense.

New England has scored at least 27 points in seven of their nine games. Philadelphia has surrendered at least 24 points in all five games against top-20 offenses. The Patriots rank 15th in total offense.

The Eagles are 23rd in yards per play and 20th in total offense. New England ranks first in total defense, scoring defense and opponents’ yards per play, even after giving up 37 points in their last contest.

In three straight meetings with top-10 defenses, Carson Wentz is averaging 201 passing yards, one touchdown and four sacks per game. Those numbers aren’t likely to improve against a defense that has 32 sacks and is holding quarterbacks to a 45.8 passer rating.

With an extra week to prepare for Philadelphia, Bill Belichick will have New England ready to get back in the win column.

Prediction: New England over Philadelphia, 24-19
