  • Google is reportedly releasing a mid-range smartphone in the first quarter of 2020
  • The smartphone series might be called Google Pixel 4a
  • Based on a new set of renders, the Google Pixel 4a will have the same design as the iPhone 11

In May 2019, search engine giant Google launched the first ‘a’ series of mid-range smartphones, the Google Pixel 3a, and Pixel 3a XL. Rumors have it that the Google Pixel 4a series would arrive in the first half of 2020. Now, 91mobiles and OnLeaks collaborated and shared the renders of the Google Pixel 4a, which might feature a punch-hole display, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a single rear camera.

Based on the Google Pixel 4a renders the upcoming mid-range handset from Google will be the first lineup to feature a punch-hole display on the top left corner. This punch-hole display is believed to house the selfie camera of the device. Additionally, the screen of the Google Pixel 4a will be flat and will have a 5.7 or 5.8-inch size.

The display, based on the Google Pixel 4a renders, shows a thin earpiece and thick bezels around the screen. But, compared to the current generation mid-range smartphone from Google, the bezels above and below the display are a bit smaller. So far, it is not yet clear if the upcoming device will feature Project Soli-based Motion Sense for gesture control.

The back of the Google Pixel 4a, according to renders, will have a matte finish and will feature a protruding camera hump. The layout of the camera is almost the same as the setup found on Google Pixel 4 and in iPhone 11 Series. The only difference is that it only has a single sensor and an LED flash.

There will be more sensors on the camera module of the Google Pixel 4a, according to OnLeaks. Additionally, the back of the device will house the fingerprint sensor along with the big G logo. The right edge of the device contains the orange-colored Power button and the volume rocker.

The top edge of the Google Pixel 4a, according to the leaked renders, will have the 3.5mm audio jack with the USB Type-C support, and speaker grilles are around it. The upcoming device will reportedly have 144.2 X 69.5 X 8.2 mm with a 9mm rear camera bump. While the details are exciting, it is worth mentioning that these are not official. In other words, these are mere speculations, so take this information with a pinch of salt.
