OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, and McLaren, the UK-racing outfit, have entered into a partnership to bring a new kind of smartphone, the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition smartphone. This upcoming smartphone offers an improved version of the previous Pro models.

As mentioned earlier by the smartphone-focused website GSM Arena, the new phone could cost between €850($934.11) to €860 ($945.10), which landed the new device in the premium category. The rumored price tag comes from teen tipster Ishan Agarwal, which first leaked the information about the possible price of the new device.

But, according to Agarwal, the rumored price tag is only for the 12GB/256GB version. If the price tag is true then, the OnePlus 7T Pro will be the company’s most expensive smartphone model. By comparison, the previous model, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition has been retailed for just $767. That model comes with a whopping 10GB of RAM, along with a huge 256GB of storage.

The Chinese firm hasn’t shared much detail about this upcoming device. But, according to GSM Arena, the new Pro device might get a completely new look. Like the OnePlus 6T special edition, the new phone might also feature a carbon fiber back with orange highlights.

The new phone is rumored to come with the fourth generation of the company’s fast charging technology and has a slightly larger battery. By comparison, the 7T has a 100mAh more than its predecessor and, based on a recent spec leak reported by GSM Arena, the new Pro device might get a similar minor bump. Another possible change could be the move to Warp Charge 30T, which makes it 23 percent faster than the non-T power charger used on the OnePlus 7 Pro.

As for the processing power of the new device, rumors are rife that the new Pro device might arrive with a new Snapdragon 855+ processor. This new chipset will bring a small overclock to the GPU and even smaller to the CPU compared to the Snapdragon 855 chipset used in the original OnePlus 7 Pro device. The crowd could expect even more information about this new Pro device in the upcoming official launch event. The Chinese handset maker is expected to reveal the new OnePlus 7T Pro sometime this week.
