The New Orleans Saints are favored in the 2019 NFC Championship Game, and it looks like that would be the case in Super Bowl LIII, as well. If Drew Brees and Co. defeat the Los Angeles Rams Sunday, they are expected to be favored over the winner of the AFC Championship Game.

The lookahead lines for Super Bowl LIII have the Saints laying 1.5 points in a matchup with either the New England Patriots or Kansas City Chiefs. It’s the highest point spread for any of the four potential outcomes in the conference title games.

New Orleans is actually the only projected Super Bowl favorite. The betting line for the other two possible matchups is a pick’em.

The Saints are favored by 3.5 points at home over the Rams in Sunday’s contest, per OddsShark. The Chiefs are laying a field goal against the Patriots at Arrowhead Stadium.

Heading into the conference championship round, New Orleans leads the remaining four teams with slightly better than 2/1 odds to win Super Bowl LIII. Kansas City is second with +250 odds. New England and Los Angeles are tied with +350 Super Bowl odds.

Both conference championship games are rematches from the regular season, but New Orleans is the only favorite that beat their opponent in 2018. The Saints defeated the Rams 45-35 in the Superdome in Week 9. The victory gave New Orleans the tiebreaker over Los Angeles for the No.1 seed in the conference.

New Orleans’ 13-3 record was tied with Los Angeles for the best mark in football, though the Saints rested Brees and other starters in Week 17 when they were 13-2 with nothing on the line. Kansas City is the AFC’s No.1 seed with a 12-4 record. New England went 11-5 to secure the No.2 seed, though the No.5 seed Los Angeles Chargers were a game ahead of them in the standings.

The Patriots beat the Saints 36-20 in New Orleans when they met in Week 2 of the 2017 season. The Saints last faced the Chiefs in 2016 when Kansas City won 27-21 at Arrowhead Stadium. Patrick Mahomes was still in college at that point.

The Saints have been favored in 15 of their 18 games this season.
