Jake Locker was drafted eighth overall by the Titans in 2011.
Entering his third season, quarterback Jake Locker has his No. 1 receiver in Kenny Britt back, and running back in Chris Johnson itching to make a point. Locker could be a steal in plenty of fantasy drafts this season. thepenaltyflagblog.com

As the New Orleans Saints rest their starters the Tennessee Titans will give their young quarterback more snaps Thursday night at LP Field.

The preseason match-up starts at 7pm eastern time, and you can watch streaming online here.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees will sit out New Orleans last preseason game, but Brees has looked on point throughout the preseason. He went 17-for-25 for 179 yards and two touchdowns in the Saints 34-27 victory over the Houston Texans last week.

Four-year veteran Chase Daniel will start in place of Brees.

Running back Chris Ivory continued his strong preseason showing with eight carries for 57 yards. He will split carries with rookies Travaris Cadet and Joe Banyard against the Titans, as starter Darren Sproles will sit out.

Tennessee will start newly crowned quarterback Jake Locker Thursday, who finished with 134 yards on 11-for-20 passing in the Titans 32-27 win over the Arizona Cardinals last week.

Locker won the job over veteran Matt Hasselbeck, and will play most of the first half to prepare for Tennessee's season opener against the New England Patriots.

Tennessee running back Chris Johnson, hoping to bounce back from the worst season of his career last year, had 13 carries for 27 yards against the Cardinals.

The Titans hope to have wide receiver Kenny Britt back in time for their opener against the Patriots, but they are also looking to their young receivers. Rookie Kendall Wright caught four balls for 44 yards and a touchdowns against Arizona, and third-year pro Damian Williams who produced 45 receptions for 592 yards last season, should see significant time Thursday.

Prediction: Locker will look to hone his skills before the opener against New England, so this could be a good test for a New Orleans secondary that finished 30th in pass defense last season. But with Brees out it will be hard for the Saints to create offense.

Predicted Score: Tennessee 20, New Orleans 10
