An interesting stat shows that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott's career somehow resembles that of Tom Brady.

In NFL, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been known for making tons of comments pertaining to different subjects. Whether he is commenting on his team or the NFL at large, Jones is indeed an opinionated presence in the league. His latest statement was a comparison of Prescott to Brady.

Jones made his comments during a recent talk with “105.3 The Fan” after being asked who Cowboys QB Prescott most reminds him of. While some assumed that Jones will compare Prescott to a Cowboy, he went outside the box and mentioned Brady, Pro Football Talk reported.

“I think he’s more like Brady. We know Tom Brady, and he’s no Tom Brady. I didn’t say that. But the point is he will evolve and is evolving into a guy that will beat you. He will beat you with different circumstances and different players. He will be on teams that have a better defense than others. He will be on teams that have better protection than others. I think we got us one in Dak,” Jones commented.

At the time of the interview, Prescott had played in 52 NFL games, and looking at where Brady was at this point, it appears that there’s some logic that Jones was using when he made the comparison.

Through 52 games, Prescott held a 35-17 record. He threw 76 touchdowns against only 28 interceptions and did so with a 66.6% completion rate on 1,602 passes for 12,019 yards. Prescott did all of it in just four seasons. He has both come close and surpassed where Brady was in many aspects.

Brady on the other hand, only saw the field one time during his rookie season before taking over for Drew Bledsoe as the full-time starter. Another thing that separates Brady from Prescott is the fact that he already had two Super Bowls under his belt by the time he entered his 52nd game, while Prescott has not made the Big Game yet.

The Patriots star had a 40-12 record through his first 52 games, had 80 touchdowns against 43 interceptions, and had passed for 11,570 yards. All of those numbers hover around where Prescott is, though the Cowboys quarterback has a clear advantage in accuracy with a nearly five-point edge in completion percentage over Brady and 15 fewer interceptions, Sportscasting reported.

All told, the Prescott and Brady may differ in some aspects but the fact that they both consistently put up impressive numbers, it appears that Jones had a point when he compared Prescott to Brady.
