Six NFL teams are looking for a new head coach after the conclusion of the regular season. The Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions and Houston Texans all made changes during the season, while the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Chargers fired their respective head coaches when Week 17 came to an end.

A few notable candidates have been linked to several jobs and already secured interviews. Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is expected to fill one of the vacancies. San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh and Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll both have a good chance of getting their first head coaching gigs.

Where will those assistants end up?

The latest betting odds suggest either Houston or Atlanta will hire Biemiemy. He’s the favorite to be hired by the Texans, according to BetOnline, with 3/2 odds. Biemiemy is a 3/1 betting favorite to end up with the Falcons.

Atlanta announced Monday that it completed a virtual interview with Biemiemy. Kansas City’s offensive coordinator is expected to speak with both the Lions and Jets.

Interim head coach Raheem Morris (4/1), Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Brandon Staley (5/1) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive coordinator Todd Bowles (5/1) are thought to be candidates in Atlanta.

Biemiemy has coached Patrick Mahomes during his entire career with the Chiefs. Houston is among the most attractive jobs because Deshaun Watson is the team’s quarterback.

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer (3/1) is the second betting favorite for the Texans’ job. He’s followed by Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Don Martindale (15/2) and Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell (15/2).

Daboll has helped turn Josh Allen into a Pro Bowl quarterback with Buffalo. He’s the betting favorite for the head coaching vacancies in New York (3/1) and Los Angeles (5/2).

The Jets are expected to select a quarterback with the No.2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is coming off a historic rookie season.

Saleh is a 5/4 favorite to be hired by the Lions, just ahead of Biemiemy at 5/2.

Former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer is a 1/2 favorite to become the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach. Jacksonville is expected to draft Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence with the top overall pick.

Meyer has been linked to NFL jobs before, though he’s only been a college head coach. Saleh (6/1), Biemiemy (7/1) and Daboll (7/1) might be more likely hires in Jacksonville.
