New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and star quarterback Tom Brady's rift is believed to be a thing of the past. After a reported strained relationship that cropped up last year, the two seem to have patched things up and are now on the same page.

Ironically, this is the observation shared by Jeff Darlington of ESPN when the Pats lost to the Miami Dolphins last Sunday. He had already heard that there were improvements to the relationship of the duo, but he saw firsthand Belichick and Brady in an exchange which one person branded as “vibing much more.”

Obviously, this means both are on the same page once more, and this development that should bode well with Patriots fans. It may finally douse water on the alleged rift they had last year where both didn’t exactly get along due to several sticking points, NBC Sports reported. One of those reportedly included Brady’s personal trainer, Alex Guerrero.

Now on their 19th season together, it will be interesting how this repaired relationship will turn out. Will it lead to another Super Bowl title?

To recall, the Patriots did fall to the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LII. It is possible that there was already some misunderstandings between the two at that point. For Super Bowl LIII, it could be a different story, assuming New England is able to get that far.

So far, the Pats are doing decently and primed for another run. As mentioned in a previous post, Belichick may be good to coach for four to five years more. Brady, now 41 years old, hinted via his Instagram account back in June that he will play until he is 45. So adding the forecasts for both Belichick and Brady, it may not be surprising if both end up leaving the Pats together.

So does this mean that both are committed to helping the Pats for the next four years? Right now, that seems to be the case, although one cannot discount the possibility of another falling out. At any rate, it all depends on how the tandem will work for New England.

They are a proven formula in the past before the alleged rift set in. With all the misunderstandings and distractions behind them, winning at least one more Super Bowl title should erase belief that all is not well between Brady and Belichick.
