Four more NFL teams were eliminated from the playoff race in Week 16. The Cleveland Browns (7-7-1) Washington Redskins (7-8), Carolina Panthers (6-9) and Miami Dolphins (7-8) all have no chance to make the postseason.

Cleveland is the only one of the four that was victorious this past weekend. They defeated the Cincinnati Bengals (6-9) for their fifth win in six games. The Browns will finish in third place in the AFC North behind the Baltimore Ravens (9-6) and Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6-1). A win in Week 17 would give Cleveland their first winning record in 11 years.

The Dolphins couldn’t take care of business at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-10). They are now three games behind the New England Patriots (10-5) in the AFC East. New England clinched their 10th straight division title when they beat the Buffalo Bills (5-10).

Carolina has long been out of the NFC South race. They are seven games behind the New Orleans Saints (13-2), who have clinched the conference’s No.1 seed. The Panthers lost to the Atlanta Falcons (6-9) with Taylor Heinicke starting at quarterback for the injured Cam Newton.

Washington’s loss to the Tennessee Titans (9-6) Saturday knocked them out of the NFC East race. The Redskins were officially out of the playoff hunt when the Minnesota Vikings (8-6-1) beat the Detroit Lions (5-10) Sunday afternoon. Josh Johnson became the third Washington quarterback to make two starts this season.

When the Redskins beat the Dallas Cowboys (9-6) in Week 7, Washington took a two-game lead over Dallas and the Philadelphia Eagles (8-7) in the NFC East. The Cowboys won the division in Week 16 with a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-10), though Philadelphia enters the season finale still in the wild-card race.
